In the desert of the southwest there is a lot of red clay that seeps it's way into bone. It becomes apart of who you are. The tough ruggedness that all desert folk have is from the land. The earth and dust that spin into tornados on hot days. This work has petals snaking their way over and through the skull. The twisting of the flora is inspired by the swirling devils of dust.
